
The women empowerment programme aims at training and assisting the women to play a full and active part in social economic development. The training involves taking a marketing approach in business, budgeting even when income falls below a dollar a day, banking, etc. Further it aims at assisting them to gain access to resources, become involved creatively in social change and organise self sustaining initiatives.
A small business may not afford to pay rent or goodwill or license from the government. Through this training over 30,000 women have benefitted and can now do mobile business all over the country.
Women are taught on Small Business Enterpreneurship that help them start business with as little as Ksh 5,000 as capital. Most of these businesses are mobile which include cooking food for casual labourers at building sites, selling second hand clothes fro m office to office, shoe polishing, selling of newspapers and mobile credit.
Also through the sanitary pads training programmes, women are taught on how to make the sanitary pads and some of them have ventured into self employment through making and selling of sanitary pads at affordable prices especially in rural areas and the slums.

The aim of the programme is to thus empower women to become self reliant making them to be less prone to abuse and exploitation. The organization also facilitates forums where women come together to share their experiences in life and find solutions to the challenges they face. There are also motivational speakers invited to address such forums.
