Saidia Dada Project

Saidia Dada project is the major project undertaken by SNDK and was founded in 2003. This is basically a girl child project whose principle aim is to address the contemporary challenges facing the girl child. As we all know the african society marginalises the girl child in various societal undertakings. All these serve to deny the girl child an equal opportunity to proceed of development.

Saidia Dada is a girl-child rescue and rehabilitation programme aimed at assisting the unfortunate and underprivileged girl to grow in a conducive environment and that will help the child attain self-esteem and prestige in the society without having the feeling that she is inferior, ostracized, orphaned HIV/AIDS victims, children of poor single mothers especially those who have been put in the family way at tender ages through rape, and those hailing from street families (those whose homes are shop pavements in urban settings).
The programme also takes care of children who are rape victims through counseling and guidance.

The Saidia Dada project is an on-going programme that the board members seeks to expand its activities through the provision of a more conducive environment which will be a home away from home. We plan to set up classrooms, living quarters (hostels), dining facilities and other extra curricula activities. The project further proposes to introduce basic trade and entrepreneurship course to the children at an early age and a feeding programme is also at hand by producing our own organic food.

All this cannot be possible without the support from well-wishers, sponsors and volunteers. That is why we request for support from you that we may be able to fulfill our objectives. Thank you for your interest and support.
